![]() ![]() ![]() The waitress saw that we hadn't left a tip and ran towards us, exclaiming angrily in Cantonese, "why no tip?". The total (for three items, mind you), came up to a whopping $25. The waitress was surprised (why on earth!) when we asked for the bill so quickly after being seated, and quickly scribbled some numbers on the bill and handed it to us. But the waitress' surly attitude and the blatant dishonesty by the lady at the entrance with regard to the availability of the items we'd specifically enquired about led us to ask for the bill instead. Here, I will be fair and say that the standard of the food items was OK - nothing out of the ordinary, but perfectly acceptable. As we were extremely hungry, we ate these three items while contemplating whether to order other non dim-sum items instead. She thrust only three items which we'd ticked off (shrimp dumplings, custard buns, and steamed spare ribs) on the table, and marched off. When we protested and said that the lady at the entrance had informed us that ALL the items save for the durian puffs were available (which is why we agreed to be seated in the first place), the waitress rudely cut us off and insisted that many of the items were unavailable, including the cheong fun. Several minutes later, she came over with a dim sum cart and picked up our chit, and told us that most of the items we'd ticked off were unavailable, including the cheong fun and lotus buns. We marked off items that we wanted on the chit. Once we sat down, a waitress came over and plonked menus and a dim sum ordering chit on our table. My friend had originally wanted to come for the durian puffs and the cheong fun, and I had wanted to order the lotus buns and custard buns, but we decided that the rest of the menu would suffice (and the lady said that the cheong fun, custard buns and lotus buns were still available), so we walked in and were seated. Now - we'd have been OK if they had flat out told us that dim sum wasn't available - but when we enquired at the entrance, the lady at the bar counter told us that their entire dim sum menu was available for ordering, save for the durian puffs. We were looking for dim sum during dinner time, and thought we'd try our luck at this place as we knew they were pretty popular for dim sum during the daytime. Go to Hei La Moon or Winsor for dim sum instead! If I could give this place negative stars, I would. TL DR: AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE - DISHONEST AND DISINGENUOUS. ![]()
